Pediatric Mental Health in Primary Care

Lisa has been a NP since 2003. She originally completed the COUPN program, and later completed a MN prior to moving to Saskatchewan in 2010. As an RN, Lisa worked in homecare, and a large inner city Emergency department at a Level One Trauma center in Detroit. As an NP, she has been involved in the development of primary care teams, inpatient/hospitalist program, long term care, emergency department coverage, and outreach to First Nation communities. Lisa helped develop two novel roles, one providing primary care to people with serious mental illness in a community mental health agency (2003-2005) and a shared care telepsychiatry with an psychiatrist and a NP. (2006-2010) Lisa has accepted a temporary position with mental health and addictions to help develop a pediatric mental health program for SE Saskatchewan starting Dec 2021.
