About the Conference

The annual Saskatchewan Nurse Practitioners Education Conference is hosted by the Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners (SANP). Currently, it is being held as a 2 day virtual conference. The conference attracts up to 100 nurse practitioners, health care managers, and nurse practitioner students from across Saskatchewan. It is open to NPs, RNs, and students interested in advance practice roles. The conference gives sponsors and exhibitors maximum exposure to NPs in primary, secondary, and tertiary care. The SANP also holds its AGM during the conference.

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) with additional education in health assessment, diagnosis and management of illnesses and injuries, including prescribing drugs. Grounded in the nursing profession’s values, knowledge, theories and practice, the NP role complements other health care providers and is seen as an invaluable support to health care teams.

About the SANP (Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners)

The SANP is a non-profit, volunteer-run, professional organization that supports and advances the professional interests of its membership nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students, and nurses who have an interest in the NP practice enabling NPs to provide accessible, efficient and effective healthcare that meets the highest standards of practice across the NP practice. Additionally, they support NP education by sponsoring educational opportunities pertinent to all streams of NP practice in Saskatchewan. For more information go to www.sasknp.org.
